Massa began his career in the karting ranks in Brazil, moving to the junior Formula Renault championships in 2000.

Immediate success followed as he won the Italian and European Formula Renault championships first time out. He then dominated the 2001 Formula 3000 Euroseries, winning six times in eight races, attracting the attention of Ferrari and joined Ferrari-powered Sauber in 2002.

His technique needed refining and after being dropped by Sauber he was put through a year at Ferrari finishing school as its test driver. He returned in 2004 a far more rounded driver and fared well alongside Giancarlo Fisichella, and in 2006 he replaced Rubens Barrichello at Ferrari. Felipe Massa became an established Formula 1 front-runner 2007.

A successful junior karter, Raikkonen made his debut in British Formula Renault in 1999.He initially withdrew from the series due to an uncompetitive car, but came back after six months to decimate all opposition.

A year later he was Formula Renault champion and earned a test with Peter Sauber’s F1 team that winter. After a sparkling rookie season at Sauber, he succeeded countryman Mika Hakkinen at Mclaren in 2002. Five years at Mclaren Followed, narrowly missing out on the title in 2003 and 2005.

In 2006, Raikkonen left Mclaren to join Ferrari, replacing the great Michael Schumacher. 2007 saw Kimi Achieve Seven consecutive podiums at the end of the season and a victory in the Brazilian finale ensured he grabbed the F1 crown by a single point.
